A group of young women gathered under the working title TAG, organised by the Centre for Promotion of Civil Society, invited Tarik Kapetanovi?, the Institute’s PR, in order to discuss additional empowerment of women in politics and capacity building for future female politicians.
“TAG educational training of using social networks and tools for women was led by Tarik Kapetanovi?, Institute for Youth Development KULT PR, and the objective of this education was to ensure the best possible knowledge in these areas so that the participants may support women in politics registered as political agents, as well as to learn through practice all about challenges and obstacles women face in politics.” stated Melisa Tolja, CPCD project coordinator.
„Social networks enable a greater visibility for women in politics and insight into the problems women face on field. Social networks can provide significant assistance in realising election campaign and build a strong and stable community functioning virtually. This is the only channel of communication not censored or subjected to direct SPIN. Its field implementation is essential to the liberalisation of communication and direct networking of women from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina who wish to and must speak openly of their problems and field success.” emphasized Tarik Kapetanovi?.
TAG support group for women in politics will continue working within the frame of CPCD monitoring programme networking women from all areas of BiH society whereas the Institute for Youth Development KULT will continue enabling its employees to assist organisations with mission and vision of civil society empowerment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
