Institute’s Guest, Mr. Vehid Guni?, Offers Young People a Plenty of Reasons to Stay in BiH

Stay here!… are familiar lyrics written by the famous poet from BiH Aleksa Ĺ anti? that encourage one to stay in his/her homeland. Unfortunately, such words are now far away from young people’s thoughts. Study findings show that more than 100,000 young people have left Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1995 and nowadays more than 70% of young people want to leave the country. An example of a man who keeps coming back to his homeland is a journalist, writer, travel writer, TV and radio editor, and above all, a humanist, Mr. Vehid Guni?. On Tuesday, 29 January, the Institute’s volunteers and employees, including other young people, had the chance to spend some time with and talk to Mr. Guni? at the Educational-Leisure Centre for Youth SPAJALICA.

Upon listening to Mr. Guni?’s interesting stories, we gained new knowledge, shared opinions, but we also discovered a plenty of reasons to stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are not going to forget the stories that made ??us laugh and we are not going to feel sorry for the tears we cried. It was our great pleasure to welcome the Assistant Chief of Education, Culture, Sports and Information Department  of IlidĹľa Municipality, Mrs. Aida Lušni?ki?, and the Youth Officer for IlidĹľa Municipality, Miss. Amra Boji?i?.
