The general 2014 elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina being on the doorstep, the USAID project, Strengthening Independent Media, organised a meeting for the NGO representatives in collaboration with Internews, presenting the planned activities related to the media monitoring of the elections.
The Institute’s representatives and the M1 – The Right One for Youth, Institute’s initiative representatives, Rusmir Pobri? and Tarik Kapetanovi? attended the non-formal discussion held on Wednesday, July 16 in Sarajevo, in Mediacentre .
Rusmir Pobri? presented a detailed plan of activities regarding the upcoming elections, stating the Institute’s activities related to the M1 The Right One for Youth initiative and the integritet.ba platform.
„We have identified 230 institutions legally obliged to youth. The recorded questionnaires are on the highly confidential and realistic platform which will serve as a good framework for those who want to check out the politicians and their previous work, especially youth-oriented work”, stated Rusmir Pobri?.
The Institute for Youth Development has, along with integritet.ba, directed its activities towards M1 The Right One for Youth party, more precisely, a phantom party aiming to wake up critical thinking in youth so that they see the other side of politics.
„M1 The Right One for Youth offers specific programmes with implementable measures – we are fully transparent and completely open to all suggestions and amendments. We communicate with young people via social networks and the website, and what we communicate may wake up critical thinking in youth. Aside from electronic communication, we printed the M1 pre-election notebook containing unpopular election campaign questions”, concluded Rusmir Pobri?.
