HIV/AIDS – Understanding Data and Information

In the beginning of October in Tesli?, a 3-day advanced training was held on the topic of HIV/AIDS – Understanding Data and Information, through implementation of IOM’s activities that aimed to reduce the vulnerability of migrants and mobile populations in BiH. The training was attended by representatives of KULT, as a part of the Info-Point for Youth project. 

Advanced training on topic of HIV/AIDS – Understanding Data and Information is intended for activists of non-governmental organisations and the media. The training includes opening plenum disussions to aid establishing a joint strategy for communication and cooperation between the two groups, but also the public sector. The aim is to achieve proper understanding of medical and epidemological image of HIV and AIDS, as well as to reflect on HIV and AIDS-related issues and to establish an interactive NGO and media group. 

The trainers are experts from the Italian National Health Institute, the Clinic for Infectious Diseases in Banja Luka and IOM from Rome, Geneva and Sarajevo. The project is being realised with the financial support of the Global Fund for AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria for BiH (GFATM) coordinated by the UNDP.
