From an Award to Another Battle Against Stereotypes on March 25

Gender Equality Committee in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly awarded the Institute for Youth Development KULT and our representative Nejra Kadi? with one of three awards for excellence, commitment and advocacy in gender equality area.

By this acknowledgment, Institute for Youth Development gained significance as one of the champions in gender equality battle. The Committee has recognized the advocacy and engagement in closening gender equality principles to youth by trainings and campaigns that communicate gender equality message. Significance of Orange Day initiative in preventing violence against women and girls was acknowledged, KOĹ NICA as well – empowering young girls in youth organisations, 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence marked annually, creation of gender-responsive policies and youth strategies in BiH, Serbia and Croatia, participation in creation of the second action plan for UN Resolution 1325 implementation, etc.
