European Forum Alpach 2013 was concluded by the flute quartet concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and speech by Jose Manuel Barroso, European Commission President.
The topic of this year’s Forum Alpbach was Values and experiences. The small Tirol village of Alpbach was visited by many lecturers from world renown universities, successful entrepeneurs, artists and flocks of students, who had an opportunity to exchange their experiences and ideas during the course of three weeks.
The organizers provided the participants a chance to discuss current world topics through various formats, such as standard pannel discussions, very interesting breakout sessions and the BarCamp, organized for the first time in Alpbach and attracting attention instantly.
Alpbach was visited by 24 scholarship holders from Bosnia and Herzegovina as well, 6 of them being sholarship holders whose scholarship was provided by the Initiative Group Alpbach in Sarajevo (IGAS) with its partners.
In its statement, IGAS expressed its gratitude to the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in BiH, the Student Parliament UNSA and Centre Municipality of Sarajevo, which have been supporting IGAS activities for several years.
IGAS scholarship holders presented themselves at the traditional International Dinner, attended by many scholarship holders from throughout the world.
