Economic Forum BiH 2018: We Need Intensive, Fast-Tracked Changes

500 entrepreneurs, representatives of the academic community, the government and students took part in the 2nd Economic Forum of BiH, held on February 15, 2018.

The participants discussed the competitiveness of countries in the region, public-private partnerships, the rule of law, security and education.

The Forum was opened by Kemal Kozari?, Dean of the Faculty of Economy of the University of Sarajevo, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdi?, and Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, Head of the EU Delegation to BiH.

During the four sessions of the Forum, the participants reached several conclusions, the main of which was that we need intensive and fast changes in the business environment, rule of law and the education system, to allow the economy to grow and develop, improve its competitiveness and generate jobs for youth who are currently leaving BiH in droves. The EU accession process can act as a strong driving force behind the necessary changes because it calls for the use of new standards and updating numerous regulations.

The Forum was attended by a representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.
