The largest international Student Driven Organisation AIESEC, which operates at the School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo, is going to organise the 8th Career Days, one of its most important projects, which will be held under this year’s motto CAREer NOW!

The Project stands for a unique gathering to promote employment and practice opportunities, and has two objectives:

• providing the opportunities to young, ambitious students to go abroad, to one of 110 countries where AIESEC operates, to gain work experience, present Bosnia and Herzegovina and learn about the local traditions, culture and customs.
• enabling young people to acquire a scholarship, practice or employment in any of the partner companies, and enabling these companies to have a direct access to young people, potential candidates for scholarships, volunteers or future workforce.

Upon organising workshops together with the students, the companies will also get the opportunity to receive feedback on their performance in the market and get a clear picture of how young people see them.

This Project enables the companies to secure quality personnel and reduce the costs of the process of acquiring. During the fair, the companies will have the opportunity to access a database of the students but also to obtain CVs submitted by the students who haw shown some interest and select the candidates at once. This will be a unique chance for the students to get acquainted with the companies and the opportunities they offer.

This event will be attended by the representatives from the embassies of the countries where students can undertake the practice.

The Project will be implemented on 17 and 18 May 2012. On the first day of the Project, 17 May, in the period from 10:00 to 16:00 hours, the focus will be on delivering educational and promotional workshops at the School of Economics and Business, during which the companies and NGOs will present themselves. The central event, i.e. the gathering to promote employment and practice opportunities, will be held on 18 May at Trg oslobo?enja – Alija Izetbegovic, from 11:00 to 16:00 hours.

The vision of the AIESEC Career Days is to become the leading project for offering employment, scholarships and student volunteering opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, recognised and acknowledged by the companies and the students. AIESEC is confidently making its vision real since it already has a proven record of partnerships with Coca-Cola, HT Eronet, Sparkasse, Orbico, Europlakat, Printanje.ba, KULT, Infinity, etc.
