For the third time, the altruist NGO “SVJETLO” (“LIGHT”), organised an awarding of recognitions for the best volunteer ventures of the year. The Public Call for awarding “BH Volunteer Venture 2010” was published on 5 December 2010 for the International Volunteer Day. 16 organisations and individuals responded the Public Call and were awarded recognitions, plaquettes and awards for best volunteer ventures. The project was co-financed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and supported by the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, Novi Grad Municipality and the Holiday Inn Hotel.
The partnership youth organisation of KULT at the KOŠNICA project – strengthening youth leaders in youth organisations – PUTOKAZI Association from Žep?e, is one of the winners of recognition. The recognition was awarded for the performance and a line of other volunteering activities by which the girls, attendees of KOŠNICA training, celebrated 5 December at their local community.
We congratulate the girls and the president of the organisation on this extraordinary social contribution with the words: „Volunteers are not paid, not because their work is worthless, but because it is priceless!“
