Developing Enterprises in BiH – Continuing and Accelerating Reforms

The conference “Developing Enterprises in BiH – Continuing and Accelerating Reforms” was held on April 4, 2019 at the EU Infor Center in Sarajevo. The intention was to contribute to ensuring that the new government in BiH continues the reforms that are in progress, and starts other reforms necessary for supporting the development of enterprises in BiH.

During the two panels, the participants discussed the current business climate reforms that have begun or are nearing completions, administrative and financial support for SMEs, priorities for reform from the perspective of employers and policies whose implementation may boost domestic and foreign investments. The participants also discussed ways of overcoming administrative obstacles for conducting business, tax reform and models for supporting enterprises intended to cut costs and facilitate running businesses. The conference was attended by representatives of the executive branch of government, public institutions, international and domestic NGOs. The conference, which was organised by the Centre for Policy and Governance, was also attended by a representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.
