Youth policies can’t be made without youth – this is one of the comments made by youth attending the Western Balkans Summit in London, in a continuation of the Berlin Process. The London Summit included a one-day forum with CSOs and youth.
During sessions with six ministers of external affairs from six Western Balkans countries, representatives of CSOs and youth discussed the future of the region, the role of youth, civil society organizations, regional cooperation and youth.
Igor Crnadak, Minister of External Affairs of BiH answered questions about the visa regime between BiH and Kosovo, as it relates to youth mobility, youth leaving the country and ways to address this phenomenon, and what governments in the region must and should do with youth and for youth. The discussion also included the role of the media, discrimination, and strengthening the role of marginalized groups.
The Summit was attended by a representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT, the only organization working with youth that had a representative at the summit. The London Conference closed in a meeting of the Prime Ministers of all Balkan countries.
