43% of Youth Involve in Unprotected Intercourse

In front of the Fourth Gymnasium in IlidĹľa, as a part of the Info-Point activities, World Contraception Day was commemorated on 6 October. World Contraception Day is a international campaign that aims to raise awareness on contraception and improve the level of education in the area of sexual and reproductive health. It is commemorated on every 26 September and 2007 was the initial year of conducting the campaign. On that date, numerous activities and manifestations are performed to commemorate this day in key countries and regions all over the world.  

The Institute for Youth Development KULT commemorated this exceptionally significant date by working directly with a target group. This time, the group consisted of high school students of the Fourth Gymnasium in IlidĹľa. On that occasion, in front of the school building, a mobile booth was set up where the students could acquire information on this day, interesting and important brochures on the relevance of using protection during intercourse, but also acquire contraception. Peer educators had the opportunity to answer different students’ questions during their work.
