Glance at Position of Women and Youth on Labour Market in BiH

The Joint Committee for economic reform and development of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, in cooperation with representatives of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in BiH and the project Strengthening Governing Institutions and Processes in BiH (SGIP), is continuing the series of conferences titles “Economic and legal issues in the context of the integration of BiH in the EU”. The topic of the conference is “The position of women and youth on the labour market in BiH”.

In November 2013, the Joint Committee held a conference at the Parliamentary Assembly, which dealt with the topics of work and employments. However, because of the importance and topicality of that issue, the Committee decided to follow up with another discussion, this time focusing on women and youth. The goal of the conference is to enable relevant subjects to meet, consider the current situation and propose possible steps towards reaching a concrete solution of this problem, thus contributing to developing guidelines for the planned economic development of BiH. A representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT will also speak at the conference and present the problems and needs of youth.

The conference will be held on July 2, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., in the White Hall of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
