Representatives of 24 Youth Councils were awarded the certificates for successfully undertaking the training programme Building the Capacities of Youth Councils, on 16 December 2012. The training programme consisted of three modules, delivered over a 12 day period, and the following topics were presented: The role and future of youth councils, Youth council networking, Cooperation with the authorities, Public appearances and media, Fundraising, and Organisational and financial management.
The objective of the training program is to empower youth councils thus enable them to professionally represent the interests of their members (youth organisations), and to pursue the institutional problem solving concepts.
The training programme was organised as part of the project Institutional dialogue between youth and governmental authorities through the establishment of youth councils.
