Our Kids Learn First Aid

We gathered the School of Friendship attendants today at the Educational – Leisure Centre SPAJALCIA and held a workshop on giving first aid. The Red Cross volunteers showed and taught the kids what to do when certain physical injuries occur. In addition, we learned what to do in case of cutting, burning, bone fracture or an ankle or wrist contusion. Aside from that, we learned what to do in case of a nosebleed or eardrum bleeding or an eye injury. Most importantly, we learned why each procedure differs depending on the injury. The kids participated in the conversation and the procedures revision and acted as both models and doctors.

We hope to have another meeting like this, because we learned a lot – and knowledge is always necessary and indelible.
