Youth Policies in the Region

Cooperation of countries in the region with regards to youth policies, supporting youth policies, and the role of youth in political parties were among the topics of the program for young political leaders in the European Parliament – Bridging the gap between youth policy, youth participation and parliamentarians in the Western Balkans, with the Institute for Youth Development KULT as one of the participants.

The goal of this two-day event in Brussels was to bridge the gap between MPs in the Western Balkans and youth, and rethink the role of PMs in Western Balkans countries in developing and implementing youth policies.

One such activity are seminars for political leaders, and seminars on political and cultural participation of youth and networking on the local and regional level.

The European Parliament’s Young European Leader Program (YPL) includes young politicians, political activists, young MPs, representatives of civil society organizations, political parties and youth leaders. The program, among other things, aims to create an approach allowing for political dialogue with youth in 3rd world countries, including West Balkans countries.
