Students State: Youth Represent Exceptionally Strong Electorate, but Are Insufficiently United

A representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT held a lecture for the students of the International University in IlidĹľa on May 26, 2016.

The lecture was held as a part of the subject Political Participation and the students had an opportunity to introduce themselves with the initiatives of the Institute that aim to incite youth to a greater activity and responsibility. The students were presented with the initiative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT – M1 Rights for Youth that aims to indicate to pre-election manipulations revolving around youth.

As emphasized by one of the students, Emina HadĹľiahmetovi?, youth have to unite and express their attitudes loudly because an individual cannot do much and united they could change many things.

The students introduced themselves closer with the activities of Youth Councils, their legitimate representatives, and with the importance of participating in the elections and responsible consideration in electing the governmental representatives.

According to the opinion of another student, Mirza Rastoder, such classes should be obligatory, because youth, as an exceptionally strong electorate, are insufficiently informed.

The M1 Rights for Youth initiative represents a response to the neglect of the governmental institutions in BiH toward youth that caused an extensive economic and social position and are the most important social category for the future of BiH.

The M1 Rights for Youth initiative is in fact an initiative that aims to place youth on the top of priorities of governmental institutions and political parties in BiH.

The representative of the Institute presented other useful tools to youth such as integritet.ba and izboromat.ba.
