Educational System Must Enable Faster and More Flexible Programs

The Round Table on topic of “Development of the Labor Market in F(BiH)” that featured a discussion on numerous topics that BiH society has to face was held in Sarajevo on May 15, 2016.

An unavoidable topic was fighting unemployment and there was also discussion on strengthening the function of mediation in public services, quality legal solutions in the function of market development and the relevance of strengthening the non-formal educational systems for the economic development. 

As the participants emphasized, the future holds many challenges, primarily for the educational system. The educational system has to find solutions that will ensure a faster and more flexible programs for acquiring new knowledge, qualifications, competencies and skills for the requirements of the labor market and enable integrations of the working population in the regional and global trends, as emphasized in the presentation.

The current topics in the labor market were discussed by the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Elmedin Konakovi?, the Director of the Employment Agency of Sarajevo Canton Igor Kamo?aji and Amela Dautbegovi?, the Minister of Work, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees.

The “Development of the Labor Market in F(BiH)” Round Table was organized by the Employment Agency of Sarajevo Canton and a representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT also participated in the discussion.
