Words Hurt Too!

We usually associate violence with hits and clearly visible consequences on a body. Aside from physical violence, there are other forms of violence depending on the injury the victim suffers. Thus, violence may be sexual, economic and psychological. Gender-based violence may also be psychological violence, and it is most common as such.

Institute for Youth Development KULT activists have spoken to youth in Sarajevo, Velika Kladuša, Banja Luka and Tomislavgrad about psychological violence and its manifestations within the 16 Days of Activism campaign. The interlocutors have received promotional material on the worrying statistics when it comes to this form of violence in pharmacies or on the streets.
