The Institute for Youth Development KULT is organising thematic gatherings of authority representatives with youth regarding the upcoming elections guided by the „Coffee With…“concept. The first guest was Elmedin Dino Konakovi?, a representative in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, a member of the European Council Sports Committee and a long-time captain and player of the Basketball Club Bosna.
– “I literally jumped into politics from sports, where you are favorized because there aren’t many people who like sports. After that, you enter politics, dress the party’s jersey and start communicating with a certain number of people who see you differently. This is why it’s hard for young people to engage in politics at all. Some excellent young people literally bailed the scene because they encountered unbreakable walls. Some were eliminated from the lists and are being promised improbable executive functions. This is why I believe an unprecedented confrontation will occur in the upcoming elections because people from the background, not favourite to their bosses will appear. This will be a milestone in staff election because people with the capacity will obtain highly responsible and executive functions“– stated Elmedin Dino Konakovi?.
Youth representatives who spared their time on a rainy Monday had the chance to get familiar with the activities of Sarajevo Canton Assembly representatives and their activities in youth policy, and to be additionally informed on allocations for youth in CS.
