A representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT was present today at the meeting of the International Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized by the Office of the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Aside from the representatives of the Institute, the meeting was attended by many members of the diplomatic corps in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the international community, non-governmental sector, international organizations and relevant experts.
All present organizations and institutions are actively involved in helping the flooded areas and the objective of the meeting was the coordination of activities, determination of priorities, fields of action, summarizing the short-term and long-term action plans and the field-action analyses carried out so far.
During the meeting, the importance of future activities and the division of a single database was accentuated, to avoid misunderstanding and confusion. It was also emphasized that the database is essential for the needs of the population in the flood- affected areas to be visible, available and updated for future action.
A representative of the Institute – Mirela Ajanovi? attended the WASH meeting, where there was more talk about the rehabilitation of water supply systems in flood-affected areas.
During the meeting, it was decided that the next „WASH ” is to be organized next week and with representatives of the relevant ministries in BiH, for all to be involved in all activities and provide assistance on the ground in cooperation with the Civil Defense.
Representatives of the European Commission to BiH said during the meeting that 63 million Euros will be allocated for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia in order to provide help after the flood.
