Second Forum on Domestic Production in BiH

Forum on Domestic Production in BiH is a result of student idea and activism, initiated with the aim to present BiH public with the positive examples of economy. It is not a coincidence that the International Burch University campus was the perfect place to present good practice examples to young people and IBU students on May 22 2014.

„It is often said that domestic products are not competitive on the market, but there is a reason for everything. We lack investments in technology and economy development. Taxes are high, companies overloaded and export incentives minor. However, we should invest in raising awareness on domestic products purchase in BiH. People around the Institute for Youth Development KULT know well how important it is to invest in a quality brand, the Institute even has the “Use and buy domestic products!” logo”, Jasmin Beši?, the Institute’s CEO accentuated.

The Forum has redirected its activities to the key issues of production and trade of domestic products, and some efficient solutions were suggested to be implemented in near future. It was concluded that the state institutions are uninterested in support and investments in domestic production and that the process of new domestic product entering market should be eased.

Unfortunately, it was concluded that the final domestic products are not 100% Bosnian and Herzegovinian because our country does not offer the necessary resources for quality work, which is not as reason for future promotion and empowerment of economy and encouragement of purchase of quality domestic products which deserve a prestigious place in domestic and foreign market chain shelves.
