The delegation from Kyrgyzstan was in an eight-day study visit to our country to learn more about youth work in BiH. The delegation, led by Kyrgyzstan Republic Vice Minster of Labour, Migration and Youth, consisted of representatives of state ministries, non-governmental organizations and youth. The visit took place from 14 to 22 September 2013.
The delegation was acquainted with the work and activities of various ministries and governmental bodies related to the youth work domain at state, entity and local levels, but also with non-governmental and youth organizations engaged in different youth activities. Our guests were introduced to many new concepts of youth work in BiH which they will try to implement in their own country.
A study visit participant, AygĂĽl Jeenbaeva, working in a NGO and volunteering as a youth officer in the town of Maevka commented: “I have gained a tremendous experience through this study visit by meeting representatives of different levels of government and by visiting various NGOs. I managed to step out of my usual framework and witness how youth organizations work in BiH. I have a chance now to compare the work of my organization and youth organizations in BiH. Applying this experience, I will be able to improve my work in the future.”
