Regulations on the Procedures for Training Course Implementation and Certification of Youth Officers Comes into Force in FBiH

Pursuant to Article 12 of the Youth Law of FBiH (Official Gazette of FBiH, No 36/10) the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports has passed Regulations on the procedures for training course implementation and certification of Youth Officers. 

The Institute for Youth Development KULT acted as a partner to the Ministry in the process of creating the Regulations, because of its expertise in the area of creating and implementing youth policies and youth work in BiH and beyond.  

The Regulations regulate the are of professional education and additional training of civil servants who, pursuant to the Youth Law of FBiH, must be trained for youth work and possess a certificate testifying to their knowledge of youth policy and youth work.

 

The regulations define the procedures for the training and certification of Youth Officers by stipulating the necessity of a public call for announcing the training course, the process of implementing the training programs with the plan, contents and a timeframe, professional training of Youth Officers, the rights and obligations of the participants and the process of certifying Youth Officers. 

Youth Officers are required to continually work on professional training and development. The Regulations stipulate that persons who are not in possession of a certificate, but are employed in civil service and perform the duties of a Youth Officer are required to pass the Youth Officer training course and obtain a certificate within two years.

Certificates Youth Officers received from the German Society for International Collaboration (GIZ) or the Italian NGO Consortium will be recognised according to instructions given in the About certificate recognition section.
