How Much Do We Know About Women’s Rights and Gender Equality?

For years, the 25th of each month has been recognized as Orange Day in Bosnia and Herzegovina and globally. This day is dedicated to raising awareness about gender equality and the prevention of violence against women and girls. The Institute designs a variety of campaigns to celebrate Orange Day and teach the general public how to prevent violence against women and girls. We organize activities designed to send a message of support and raise awareness about the importance of reporting violence and talking to others about gender equality and the rights of women and girls in our society.

Raising awareness about violence against women and girls, as well as gender equality, is crucial when working with young people. It helps shape their attitudes, enables them to recognize and respond to violence, and contributes to creating a safer, more equitable community.

This month, the Institute for Youth Development KULT celebrated Orange Day with youth workers during the second training module. One of the sessions featured a quiz titled “How Much Do You Know About Women’s Rights and Gender Equality?”

Who was Adela Behr? Who was Mis Irbina street named after? What was the name of the first female director of feature films in Bosnia and Herzegovina? These are just some of the questions that helped youth workers show off their knowledge or learn something new.

This quiz was a great bonding opportunity and facilitated knowledge sharing and learning. Bosnia and Herzegovina has had and continues to have remarkable women whose achievements are valuable lessons for future generations. During the quiz, participants learned about notable women and the significant historical changes they contributed to.

If you want to join the fun and test your knowledge, you can take the #WomenBiH QUIZ.
