Youth are not leaving because they want to, we are forcing them to go – said Mirsad Hadžikadić, independent presidential candidate during Coffee Time With… youth from all across BiH.

During his conversation with youth he talked about the importance of economic development, having a functional education system, fighting corruption and the importance of citizens and politicians taking responsibility.

“If young people don’t stay in the country, we won’t have enough people to do the jobs we need. The fate of youth goes hand in hand with the fate of the country, said Hadžikadić, who claims that change is possible as long as there is at least one person who believes in change.

Hadžikadić, a US resident born in Banja Luka, was the latest guest of Coffee Time With… Presidential Candidates, organized by the Institute for Youth Development KULT as one in a series of events with presidential candidates in the upcoming general elections in BiH.

The Institute for Youth Development KULT is known for its Coffee Time With… events providing meaningful encounters of public figures, politicians, young people and other inspirational and successful BiH citizens with groups of youth, allowing them to discuss their experience, ideas and public issues relevant to youth.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina there are 700,000 youth, defined by law as persons between 15 and 30 years of age. They majority of youth are part of the electorate, and the Institute for Youth Development KULT wants to give them a chance to make an informed decision. We believe that youth should and must be included in the programs of political parties in BiH and it’s high time for the top level of government to prioritize youth in their discourse.

On the other hand, this will allow elected officials to tailor their election programs to actual needs of BiH youth who elected them.
