Youth work plays a crucial role in fostering the development of young people, empowering them to become responsible, engaged, and productive members of their communities. This role is particularly vital in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where young people are faced with a multitude of challenges.
Recognizing the critical role of youth work, we launched another training course for expert youth work associates. All participants share a common goal: to enhance their expertise and become key actors in youth work, contributing to community development.
During the initial training module, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of youth work, with a focus on the role of a youth worker, ethical principles, and effective methods for engaging with young people. Through interactive workshops and group discussions, participants explored approaches and techniques that they can apply in their own work.
“This module gave me more than expected to receive – inspiration and a clearer vision for further work. I met exceptional people, and every conversation and workshop brought me closer to fully understanding the purpose that drives youth workers,” said participant Adla Pajić from Cazin.
The training also facilitated networking, allowing participants to build a support network essential for continuous learning and collaboration, both of which are crucial for the sustainable development of youth work.
