When you see a problem, you don’t just talk about solutions — you act. Those are the young people we want to recognize this year. The Institute for Youth Development KULT invites all young people aged 15 to 30 to nominate themselves or others for one of five activism awards being presented this year as part of the Youth Activism Award:
- Changemaker Award (Social activism) – For those who set change in motion within their communities.
- Eco Warrior Award (Environmental activism) – For courageous defenders of nature and the environment.
- Beacon of Justice Award (Human rights campaigning) – For those who boldly stand up for justice and human dignity.
- Cyber Advocate Award (Digital activism) – For activists who use technology as a tool for freedom and justice.
- Creative Catalyst Award (Cultural and artistic activism) – For those who use art and culture to raise awareness and spark change.
Winners in all five categories will receive formal recognition, take part in the final event, and go on an exciting trip to some of the most fascinating destinations across Bosnia and Herzegovina. You can read more about each award category in the full call for nominations here.
No one comes to mind right now? That’s okay, maybe you know of an organization that meaningfully includes and supports young people. That’s just as important. We’ll also be awarding one prize to a youth-friendly organization that actively involves young people in its work, creates space for their initiatives, and contributes to their empowerment. The winning organization will receive support from the Institute to continue its youth-focused efforts.

This helps our selection committee and ensures the process stays transparent, so that the best among us can be rightfully recognized.
The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Don’t wait until the last minute – nominations received after the deadline will not be considered.
