In 2024, the Institute for Youth Development KULT continued to actively contribute to preventing violence against women and girls and promoting gender equality through various activities and campaigns.
More than 200 participants joined the Institute in these efforts through 12 educational and creative activities aimed at raising awareness of this important social issue.
The numbers below reflect our focus on including women and youth:
- Out of a total of 208 participants, 162 were women, and 46 were men.
• Young people made up the majority of participants, with all 188 being between the ages of 15 and 30.
• The Institute marked Orange Day with 12 activities involving participants from 26 local communities across BiH. The main goal of these activities was to support women and girls who have experienced violence and to encourage victims to report it.
• The importance of these activities was recognized by the wider public, as evidenced by 35 reports in the media that helped raise awareness about violence against women and girls.
We are proud of the many local communities that worked with us on this problem: Banja Luka, Bihać, Bijeljina, Bosanska Krupa, Brčko District of BiH, Cazin, Center Sarajevo, Gradačac, Goražde, Gračanica, Ilidža, Lukavac, Mostar, Novo Sarajevo, Novi Grad Sarajevo, Sanski Most, Stari Grad Sarajevo, Travnik, Tuzla, Velika Kladuša, Visoko, Vogošća, Zenica, Zavidovići, Živinice and Žepče.
