Today, at 12:00 at the multimedia conference hall of the Municipality of IlidĹľa, a workshop was held on the topic “Don’t Allow To Be a Victime of Violence” that was attended by 43 girls that applied for the stated small action organised by the attendants of the KOĹ NICA (BEEHIVE) Training – the programme of strengthening youth female leaders in youth organisations.
after Adisa Koki? and Dženana Baš?elija, the participants of the KOŠNICA Training introduced the attendants with types of violence and how to avoid them, Marina Gojkovi? and Nermin ?oko, the RPZ Team from the Police Management of Novi Grad continued with presenting methods of acquiring and using self-defense spray. Besima Bori?, representative at the Sarajevo Canton, entered this discussion and told the girls how she fought for their right to use self-defense sprays.
Following today’s workshop, tomorrow already, on the 10 April, a self-defense course will commence that will last until mid-April and include areas such as tactics, strengths and weaknesses of girls and the attacker, and acting in stressful situations as well as strengthening mental awareness.
The aim of this small action is to raise the level of awareness of women and presenting the realistic need to acquire basic knowledge in the area of self-protection, self-strengthening young women and encouragement to practically use this knowledge (if necessary).
This small action is the part of the KOĹ NICA Training – the programme of strengthening youth female leaders in youth organisations, conducted by the Institute for Youth Development KULT and BH Expert. The training is supported by the UNIFEM.
The training started with implementation in the beginning of last year and includes the basic training for youth female leaders, small projects in the local community, advanced advocating training, study travel and forming a network for gender equality at a state level. The project is being realised in 12 municipalities in BiH.
