Institute Participates in Developing Action Plan Adopted by Council of Ministers

The Council of Ministers of BiH decided on adopting the 2014 – 2017 Action plan for the UNSCR 1325 implementation.

The Institute for Youth Development KULT participated in the making of the Second action plan for UNSCR 1325 implementation in BiH at the end of last year.

The Action plan comprises strategic and mid-term goals, expected outcomes and implementation activities for the UN resolution 1325 titled “Women, Peace and Security”, focusing on gender equality in security and defence sectors in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Council of Ministers tasked the competent BIH institutions with getting actively involved in the implementation of the planned activities under the Action Plan for the UNSCR 1325 implementation in BIH by 2017.

The Institute created collaboration, activity coordination and information exchange platforms for the relevant government institutions and the key non-governmental organisations dealing with matters of women, peace and security in collaboration with the Coordinating board for the Action Plan for the UNSCR 1325 monitoring and twelve non-governmental organisations.

The Institute signed the Memorandum of understanding between the Coordinating board and NGOs for an efficient implementation of the UN resolution 1325 in BiH.
