The performance “Dance of the Heart” was a true spectacle in Mostar. It’s a comedy that has the residents talking and the media writing about a story of love, dance, and the courage of a young person stepping out of their comfort zone.
The protagonist believed that dance is the way to a young dancer’s heart. He certainly won the hearts of the audience, and by the end, they discovered whether he had succeeded in his original intention. The audience enjoyed an evening filled with laughter, emotion, and inspiration, all through a story born from the creativity of young people. Their incredible energy and talent, showcased throughout the premiere of the play, filled the Mostar National Theatre to capacity.
After the performance, the audience had the opportunity to attend the panel discussion “Youth in Focus,” featuring panelists Prof. Elvira Mezit, Emana Tabaković, artist and student at the Second High School in Mostar, and Sabahudin Dino Gluhović, activist and actor.
The fantastic performance, along with the panel discussion, is part of the SCENA project – Contemporary Magic and the Enthusiasm of New Activists. This initiative is being implemented by the Association “Dignitet” in collaboration with the Youth Council of the City of Mostar and Youth for Peace, with the support of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.

Art, culture, and creativity are key drivers of positive social change and play an important role in the emotional and personal growth of young people. This cast has demonstrated that art and creativity can inspire all of us to build a healthier and better society.
“Dance of the Heart” will next be performed in Prozor-Rama, Čapljina, Stolac and Jablanica.
