Minister of Justice and Administration of SC Provides Advisory and Technical Support for Registering Youth Councils

Institute for Youth Development KULT has been eagerly exerting much effort and energy, together with the authorities, to contribute to the enforcement of the Youth Law of FBiH, ever since its adoption. Therefore, we visited the Minister of Justice and Administration of Sarajevo Canton, Mrs. Velida Memi?, on 4 February 2013. The Institute’s representatives informed the Minister about the initiatives we are implementing, our youth work, experiences gained throughout the process of passing and enforcing the Youth Law of FBiH. During the meeting, we discussed the possibilities for establishing cooperation upon enforcing the Law and for the establishment of procedures regarding the registration of Youth Councils that the Cantonal Ministries of Justice and Administration are in charge of.

The Minister said that civil society organisations must be recognisable by their activities and quality. Internal motivation and human potential are the key factors, because the engagement within the NGO sector keeps upgrading the whole society. Mrs. Memi? added that the Institute is an example which should be followed due to its prominent engagement and success that results from cooperation with the authorities.
