Job Shadowing: We Continue Sharing Knowledge in 2024

Inspiring visits continue in 2024!

The first organization to join us this year was the Association for Psycho-Social Support and Better Future – Progres.

Their team spent the day getting a firsthand look at how the Institute works in practice. They connected with our staff, gained new insights they can apply in their own work, and left inspired with a new, positive experience.

“This visit perfectly answered the question: why does the Institute for Youth Development KULT offer job shadowing? It’s important for us as grantees to experience the Institute up close and to see the values in action and feel the transparency. Nothing happens overnight. Everything is a process that requires dedication, and this program truly lets us work together on building a foundation for positive change,” said Azra Frlj, President of the organization.

“A lot of what we heard today was familiar, and that’s actually a great thing. It reassured us that we’re already on the right track. That’s something I’ll be reflecting on in the days ahead,” added Sanja Čović, Vice President.

“The whole concept is really compelling. We love that the idea came directly as a response to the needs of grantees, and that the Institute chose to embrace it.  It’s also encouraging to know that these conversations inspire new ideas within the Institute too.  It was fascinating to witness how people work and collaborate inside KULT’s space, shared Iman Maslić and Zerina Karaica–Čengić.

Progres is a partner organization currently taking part in the Localworks Activity, which focuses on organizational capacity building.

The Institute for Youth Development KULT has developed the concept of job shadowing, which will provide civil society organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a new perspective on organizational development. Last year’s visits proved to be incredibly valuable, and many partners are now applying what they learned in their own communities.

Thank you to Progres for spending the day with us — we’re looking forward to welcoming more organizations in the months ahead!
