Social Day gives high school students the chance to trade their school desks for real-world workplaces. This day offers students a chance to immerse themselves in the working environment, build connections with potential employers, and gain hands-on experience in careers that spark their interest.
Employees of the Institute for Youth Development KULT spent the day with Amila Smailović, Lamija Osmanlić and Džana Tufo.
The high school students joined our staff at the Youth Policy Development Department, Youth Work Department and the Public Relations Department.
What is the Social Day at the Institute like from the perspective of high school students?
“I spent my Social Day with two other students at the Institute for Youth Development KULT. The employees at the Institute were very kind and professional. They made an effort to explain their roles clearly to us and shared valuable insights that could help us in shaping our future careers. Everyone was friendly and we could ask whatever we wanted to know. The day was filled with positive energy, inspiring conversations, and useful, very educational lessons. The relaxed atmosphere made it easy to share ideas, which made our learning experience even better. I’m really glad I got to meet inspiring people who generously shared their knowledge and experiences. My message to all young people is to be open to new experiences and opportunities. Develop your skills, explore your interests and do what you love and what fulfills you. The experience at the Institute for Youth Development KULT will leave a lasting impact on my high school journey,” said Amila Smailbegović, a second-year student at the Secondary School of Economics.
The Social Day is implemented in cooperation with the Association of Secondary School Students in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
