Institute for Youth Development KULT has supported the initiative launched by USAID Parliamentary Strengthening Project in BiH, and conducted in cooperation with the Association for Democratic Initiatives – ADI. Therefore, on Monday, 17 September 2012, the Conference on the Parliamentary Database of Civil Society Organisations was held at the FBiH Parliament and the Parliamentary Assembly, and on Tuesday, 18 September 2012, the Fair of Civil Society Organisations was organised as part of which the organisations had the opportunity to share their experiences, collaborate and present their projects and project related activities to the Parliamentarians as well as to non-governmental organisations.
The conference was organised in order to discuss the possibilities for involvement of civil society organisations in the legislative process, that is to say to create, according to the West-European practice, a database of interested non-governmental organisations which would, upon being invited by the Parliamentarians, make their proposals, suggestions and opinions upon developing particular legal documents.
Approximately 40 representatives from NGOs from across the entire country attended the fair. They were also invited to become more active in establishing relationship with the Parliamentarians in order to increase their own participation in the creation of system based laws in BiH.
