On International Women’s Day, March 8, 2025, more than 230 Bingo stores across Bosnia and Herzegovina will close from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., sending a powerful message: “Stop the silence and end violence!”
The Institute for Youth Development KULT has joined the campaign as an organization dedicated to human rights, marking over 10 years of celebrating Orange Day—A Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls. Driven by a vision to create societal change, the Institute works tirelessly to empower women and girls, fostering safer communities and raising awareness about the importance of human rights and ensuring equal opportunities for a better and more equitable life for all.
With tomorrow being a non-working day at the Institute, employees decided to take the opportunity today, on the eve of Women’s Day, to join the campaign by pausing their daily tasks and signing a petition, contributing to the fight against violence.
“This campaign is extremely important to us as employees of the Institute for Youth Development KULT. We recognize the importance of creating a space where women’s voices are heard and respected, where violence is not overlooked, and where awareness of gender equality is strong. Joining the ‘Stop the Silence and End Violence’ campaign is not just a symbolic gesture – it’s a call to action and acknowledgment of our collective responsibility to create a society where women can live without fear. Every woman deserves safety, freedom and dignity, and we as a society need to make these changes happen. This campaign presents a great opportunity for us to unite our voices and take a step toward a brighter future and a world free from violence,” said the employees of the Institute.
This activity serves as a wake-up call, urging us all to unite and play an active role in the changes that will help create a better and safer society. Bingo, a responsible company employing over 6,000 women, recognizes the importance of supporting women and, through this campaign, is acting on their own responsibility to provide that support. We thank Bingo Group for this initiative and for providing the opportunity to engage in a meaningful discussion on this important topic.
The time has come for all of us to unite. That is why the Institute for Youth Development KULT invites all companies, non-governmental organizations and individuals to take a moment and sign the petition at: https://www.bingotuzla.ba/vrijemeje/.
Stop the silence and end violence!
Together we can build a future filled with respect, safety and support, a future where violence will have no place and women will have freedom, dignity and right to pursue happiness.
