Today, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina approved the proposal for the Youth Strategy for 2025-2034, which will now be submitted to the Parliament of the Federation of BiH for discussion and adoption.
This is the first strategic document in the Federation of BiH specifically aimed at young people.
The Government of FBiH recognizes youth as the true potential of our society and is committed to coordinating all FBiH structures to support youth in various areas of social life.
The strategy will focus on addressing key issues in seven priority areas for youth in the FBiH: work, employment, and entrepreneurship; youth education and science; social care; youth health and safety; culture, sports, and the environment; and youth activism, including participation, volunteering, and mobility.
For each of the above areas, the strategy focuses on four to seven key issues that have been identified. It is also important to note that two key principles guide this strategic document: the inclusion of youth in decision-making processes and the intention to create equal opportunities for all young people in the FBiH.
Crucially, the document also includes the opinions and perspectives of young people, as their suggestions and ideas were considered during the Youth and Government Dialogue.
The strategy is being developed by the FBiH Ministry of Culture and Sports in partnership with the Institute for Youth Development KULT and the Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
