The seminar “Effective Youth Projects: How to Design and Implement Public Calls for Youth Projects?” further empowered youth officers in the process of creating and implementing public calls that allow young people to actively engage in social, cultural, educational, and other community development projects.
The seminar aimed to improve the process of preparing public calls that support transparent selection and implementation processes, thereby increasing youth participation in local government programs.
“After completing the Basic Training for Youth Officers, I’m happy to have the opportunity to expand and strengthen my knowledge and skills through this training focused on designing and implementing public calls for youth projects. In this way, youth officers in public administration strengthen their capacities to build better relationships and cooperation with young people in their local communities. Besides gaining new knowledge and experiences, I’m also happy to reconnect with dear colleagues from other municipalities, and to meet new ones,” said Marija Jozić, a staff member of Vitez Municipality.
The seminar included hands-on exercises and opportunities to share ideas, allowing participants to explore the topic through dialogue. By sharing experiences and examples of good practice, participants gained valuable insight into how to design public calls for youth projects, which is an essential step in promoting youth engagement and supporting the development of their ideas. These initiatives offer young people a concrete opportunity to contribute to the development of their local communities while gaining valuable skills.
The Institute for Youth Development KULT recognizes the challenges faced by youth officers in their daily work and remains dedicated to supporting them as they continue to improve their skills and knowledge.
We look forward to taking new steps and launching joint initiatives to improve the position of young people in BiH.
