Within the 16 Days of Activism against Violence campaign programme, the Institute for Youth Development KULT organised a self-defence crash course for girls in case of an attack or violence. The training is led by the representatives of the IKMF – International Krav Maga Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The girls strengthened their mental and physical abilities in basic self-defence against the increasing violent behaviour in certain groups of the contemporary society. They acquired basic Krav Maga skills and learned when to use Krav Maga and its self-defence techniques in the most common type of attacks, against girls.
This optimal self-defence system for girls provides them with a most efficient defence in case of an attack or violence they might suffer. The girls are also familiar with the tools of self-defence as well as elements of violence prevention. They have learned that Krav Maga self-defence techniques are used only when verbal solution attempt fails or there is no space to step away from the conflict. Technique use is justified if their own or else’s health or life are at stake.
The girls have successfully completed four practices, and tonight’s practice will be an end to this cycle of the self-defence crash course. They spent the time at the Educational-Leisure Centre SPAJALICA and the martial arts training hall at the CSC Ilidža, where the tonight’s training will be held.
