Charters on Business and Human Rights Presented to New Signatories in BiH

In September, ten new companies and institutions in BiH were formally presented with Charters on Business and Human Rights, as part of an initiative promoting socially responsible business practices.

By signing the Charter, these organizations committed to aligning their business practices with international standards and to actively contributing to a fairer, more responsible, and sustainable society. The message is clear: ethical and responsible business is essential for long-term success, and respect for human rights must be standard practice, not the exception.

The Charters were signed to the following companies and institutions: FBiH Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the City of Sarajevo, Alphabet Group d.o.o.  Sarajevo, STEM LABs, Lucid Linx d.o.o. Sarajevo, ARCON-in d.o.o. Zenica, Custom Concept d.o.o., Impart d.o.o., City of Mostar and the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo.

In addition to the formal signings, a series of workshops on ‘Respecting Human Rights in Business’ took place throughout September, giving participants practical guidance on how to embed human rights principles into daily business practices and interactions. Sessions took place at Hayat d.o.o., the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, ProCredit Bank d.d. Sarajevo Sarajevo and Green Power Solutions d.o.o. Zenica. This initiative is part of the project “Improving Human Rights Corporate Accountability in BiH”, funded by the European Union in BiH and implemented by the Institute for Youth Development KULT, in partnership with the Commerce Trade and Services Trade Union of BiH and the Association of Families of Children and Persons with Developmental Disabilities “Dajte nam šansu.”
