The Institute for Youth Development KULT, in collaboration with the Bosanska Krupa Youth Council, invites you to the event A Place to Belong: Opportunities, Challenges, and Decisions, taking place on 30 July 2025 at the Youth Center Bosanska Krupa (Patriotske Lige bb), starting at 10:00 AM.

This event is an excellent opportunity for young people to connect directly with government representatives and engage in meaningful conversations on issues that affect us all.

The central focus will be on the topic of young people choosing to stay or leave Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of the #JOSUVIJEKSAMTU (#IMSTILLHERE) campaign led by the Institute for Youth Development KULT. We’ll explore opportunities available in the Una-Sana Canton, especially in Bosanska Krupa, and the everyday challenges young people face.

Through open and honest dialogue, we aim to explore how we can build a better environment for young people who want to stay, take action, and build a life in their communities.

An opportunity can mean the world to a young person. Sometimes, it’s the very reason they choose to stay and help build a better future right here in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Contrary to the common belief that young people are passive and disengaged, the Institute meets inspiring, motivated youth every day. These are people with powerful stories and the drive to make a difference. We launched the #JOSUVIJEKSAMTU campaign to draw attention to the emotions and dilemmas young people in BiH face, focusing on their hopes, fears, and decisions about staying or leaving.

The campaign shares authentic voices and real-life dilemmas of young people across the country, and this event is a chance for youth in Bosanska Krupa to be part of the conversation.

Sign up if:

– You want your voice to be heard;

– You want to see change for young people in your community;

– You have an idea, a question, or a proposal – this is your chance to speak up!

After the event, we’ll have a special activity and set up a mini library together! If you’d like to contribute, bring a book you want to donate.

Both formal and informal education are essential for young people’s career journeys. With this symbolic gesture, young people will send a clear message to their community. The future book exchanges through the mini library will continue to carry the message: #JOSUVIJEKSAMTU.

During the event, alongside local officials, we’ll also hear from two outstanding members of the Bosanska Krupa Youth Council who were this year’s top students.

Register HERE by 12:00 PM on 29 July 2025.
