Are you ready for a better version of you?

The Institute for Youth Development KULT is a proud sponsor of the organisation of the CEO Conference. In an attempt to help youth live up to their potential and become a better version of themselves, we are also holding a workshop at the conference.

Leaders Eat Last is a workshop on leadership and team spirit that will be held by the Executive Director of the Institute for Youth Development KULT Jasmin Bešić.

On February 9, young people will have an opportunity to learn how to be a great leader in a team, and how to be a team player. They will have a chance to attend an interactive lecture with practical exercises on the topic of leadership that combines the psychological aspects of management with ways to lead a team in a harmonious and effective way. Leadership is action, not position, and if you want people to follow you we will teach you how to lead by using the appropriate set of tools.

For this year’s CEO Conference, under the slogan “The Power of Choice”, the Faculty of Economy teamed up with partners: Sberbank BiH, Sol Azur & Buena Vista, Institute for Youth Development KULT, Coca-Cola HBC B-H, and LifeLine Driving School, to organise a series of workshops for high school students, intended to help young people in BiH improve their personal competencies and learn new skills.

The first in a series of workshops, sponsored by the Institute for Youth Development KULT, “Leaders Eat Last”, will be held on February 9, 2019, at the Tondach amphitheater of the Faculty of Economy in Sarajevo. The first workshop will be focused on leadership and teamwork.

Young people need and search for role models. They look up to athletes, scientists, public figures, which is why it is important to promote the right values. EYOF - the biggest sports youth olympic festival is the right place for youth to create their value system.

The European Youth Olympic Festival in Sarajevo and East Sarajevo (February 9-16) will be held at 8 locations, include thousands of competitors and volunteers who want to contribute to reviving the olympic spirit.

EYOF (European Youth Olympic Festival) is the largest olympic festival for young athletes between the ages of 14 and 18. This sports event includes youth from all around Europe in various sports and teaches them the values and ideals of the Olympic Charter. At the same time, this event motivates youth to do sports and foster healthy habits.

Another important aspect of EYOF, which contributes to developing skills in youth, is volunteering. The number of volunteers participating in the organisation of EYOF is commendable, and the Institute for Youth Development KULT is helping them understand the principles of volunteering and activism by holding workshops for volunteers.

The Institute will provide the volunteers with space in our Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA.

“EYOF is a perfect opportunity to teach young athletes from across Europe about the importance of ideals such as fair competition, respect, tolerance and friendship.” Jean-Michel Saive.

Well, young people. We’re ready for some fair sports competitions. We’ll see you at EYOF, in the mountains, at the venues. We’ll remind ourselves of the importance of volunteering, sports and Olympic glory.

“It gives me immense pleasure to see a body acting as a legitimate representative of youth in FBiH for three years now. It’s an even bigger pleasure to see how youth perceive this umbrella body and how much energy they put into improving the lives of youth.” - said Aldin Alić from the Institute for Youth Development KULT during a reporting session of the FBiH Youth Council.

The FBiH Youth Council held their third reporting session in Zenica, during which they adopted the annual narrative and financial reports.

The goal of organizing events in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, and other parts of BiH is to come into contact with youth from across the country, showing them what the Youth Council does, creating opportunities for cooperation with representatives of youth organizations, and creating the conditions for forming cantonal youth councils that will work on creating a better life for youth in BiH.

The session was attended by guests from local youth councils, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports and representatives of the Umbrella Youth Organization from Serbia.

The Institute has been supporting the FBiH Youth Council since its founding, and has continued to do so during the organization of the reporting session.
