Over 120 Project Proposals From All Parts of Western Balkans

The town of Petrovac, Montenegro, hosted a meeting of partners on the regional project Western Balkan Civil Society Organisations for Youth Employment Support, held on June 27-28, 2019.

The focus of the two-day meeting was on planning future steps in the implementation of programs for supporting small organizations whose projects will be funded through the WeB4YES open call that garnered more than 120 project applications from all parts of the Western Balkans.

In addition to implementing support programs, members of the project team analyzed the results achieved during the first 6 months of the current project year and the progress of advocacy campaigns intended to exert more influence on amending the existing lasw and adopting new laws and regulations that concern youth employment and the develpment of youth entrepreneurship.

During the meeting, the partners agreed on an action plan for the duration of 2019 and the promotion plan for the WeB4JOBS regional platform that will provide young people with information and advice about employment opportunities, traineeships, education and mobility in the entire Western Balkans region.

The Initiative WeB4YES will last until the end of 2020, and is supported by the European Commission, as a part of the Civil Society Facility and Media Program 2016-2017, Support to regional thematic networks of CSOs.

The meeting was attended by a representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT, a partner organization in this initiative.

The project coordinator is the Belgrade Open School, and partners on the project, in addition to the Institute are the Association for Democratic Prosperity - ZID (Montenegro), NGO Lens (Kosovo), Association Beyond Barriers (Albania), National Youth Council of Macedonia and International Olof Palme Center (Sweden).
